Matthew: Thank you for your time last week. You gave my friend the power to make a decision. We told the car dealer that they needed to figure out a way to eliminate the 4,000 charge on the credit card. They reduced the amount of the vehicle by 2500 and took her 2000 cash as a down payment. They reversed the charge on her credit card. The cool thing is we didn't even have to say we talked with you. Now I wonder what would have happened if we had. Oh well, it worked out the way it was suppose to. He knew we had done our homework and I am pretty sure he knew we had spoken with a lawyer.

Stockton, CA jury awards seriously injured Spanish speaking agricultural farm laborer following 6 day trial.

"I feel really good about the verdict," states attorney Bob Lally, "it's the best feeling, for me, knowing that we really helped someone who truly could not represent themselves."

Robert (Bob) Christison and Robert (Bob) Lally of David Allen & Associates co-counseled a six day trial in San Joaquin's County's Stockton Superior Court which ended March 30, 2006. The two Bobs represented Maria, a mother of four who, as a pedestrian, was hit on the sidewalk by a car which ricocheted out from a collision with another vehicle at a Stockton intersection. The plaintiff was 31 when she was injured. It has taken a full three years to force the insurance companies to compensate her as she deserved. During settlement negotiations defense offered no greater amount than $5,000 more than this seriously injured woman had lost for past medical expenses and wage loss and who was forced to undergo spinal surgery as a result of her injuries.

At trial defense counsel reduced their offer to zero.

Attorney Bob Christison felt the outcome was terrific and "well deserved by the plaintiff."

David Allen, senior partner of the firm, stated, "We are very pleased with what we accomplished for Maria. We represent people and are concerned with bringing justice to those who come to us for help. It was unfortunate in this case, and in so many cases, the insurance companies were only concerned with their profits, offered nothing, and forced Maria to get a lawyer and sue."

Maria is a woman who worked hard all her life and did nothing wrong. It is wonderful that a jury of her peers offered her fair restitution for her injuries.
